An opportunity both to take part, and enjoy the concert.

We want a balanced choir of up to 150 members to lead the singing of the hymns and worship songs, and to perform some items by themselves with the orchestra. The choir should be made up of singers who are used to singing in parts.

To join the choir you will need to register, and attend the rehearsals prior to the concert, and importantly with the orchestra on the day of the concert.

The rehearsals will be at Brunswick Methodist Church, Brunswick Place (off Monument), Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 7BJ (phone 01912617779), on

• Thursday 2 October from 7pm to 9pm, with registration from 6.15pm
• Thursday 16 October from 7pm to 9pm, doors open 6.30pm
• Thursday 6 November from 7pm to 9pm, doors open 6.30pm

On Saturday 8 November the choir will meet in The Barbour Room of The Sage Gateshead at about 11.30am, so we can start the rehearsal with the orchestra promptly at noon in Hall 1.

There will need to be a small charge of £10 to cover music costs, copyright, and contribute to the hot meal in The Barbour Room between the performances. This will be collected at the first rehearsal (cash or cheques payable to Prom Praise North East). Dress will be plain coloured long sleeve shirts/blouses, and dark trousers/skirts. There will be a short time of prayer about 30 minutes before each performance in The Barbour Room.
